The Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set

Beatles For Sale (1964) is a frequently dismissed Beatles album (probably the most overlooked Beatles album.) I think that's a real shame because while it's undoubtedly not among The Beatles most important studio albums, it still has some charms and I do believe it is worth taking a close listen to.

Now that I've been playing The Beatles Stereo CD Box Set for almost a week I think it's time to do a review of the set as a whole. Now that I've had a chance to hear all of the remastered Beatles albums I can say without any doubt that they sound much better than the old Beatles CDs.

New Beatles Tracks Available for Digital Download

Arguably the most famous band on the scene, The Beatles are set to re-release a vast amount of their music backlog accompanied by a bran new computer game. The new game which is called, "The Beatles: Rockband" is released on Wednesday the 9th September.

On the game you can see visual simulations of the band performing some of their most famous tracks at some of the most popular venues from around the country. This coincides perfectly with their record label EMI’s scheduled release of 14 of their new digitally enhanced albums which will available in early 2010.

After over 20 years of waiting, the [remastered CD|remastered CD] versions of The Beatles studio albums are finally going to be available on CD on 9/9/9. The 1980s CD versions are thought by most to be a very poor example of mastering for CD which is a big reason why people have been wanting new better versions for so long.

It was not until the time of Let It Be & Abbey Road that the stereo mixes became The Beatles only. Up until that point, they were more focused on the mono mixes as they were the standard way people listened to music then.

The Beatles Three Greatest Albums

The Beatles recorded 12 official studio LPs from 1963 to '70 and just about all of them were brilliant which makes picking out just 3 of their albums as the top three is extremely difficult.

12? You've probably heard that they had 13 albums. That 13th "album" was actually Magical Mystery Tour which was originally released in 1967 just as an EP in the UK. An "album" version of it was cobbled together in America by adding some earlier singles to the record.
