Band Hero is on the way!

Monday, November 30th, 2009

With the release of Guitar Hero 5 as well as the future release of DJ Hero another Hero game has been pushed into the market in the form of Band Hero. The game is going to be very similar indeed to guitar hero as you will be able to mix and match the instruments you can play with. This of course means a combination of guitars, drums and plenty of singing with the microphone. There is a big difference in fact between Band Hero and Guitar Hero and it could be something that makes Activision even more money. While Guitar Hero is off concentrating on Rock and DJ hero is off concentrating on club/mixing, Band Hero comes in for the general audience with a mix of pop/rock, and other huge artists.

Vocal Harmony, Many Voices As One

Monday, November 30th, 2009

When two or more voices sing together you have vocal harmony, if they sing well. The third, fifth or seventh of the chord is usually used for the harmony part. It is right to say that most bands today strive for at least two and hopefully three harmony parts. It helps if you understand a bit about chord structure to sing harmony. Listen for the other harmonies as you listen to music and you will begin to be able to separate them. Taking a class is always a good way to get started and expand your knowledge of music theory.

Essential Equipment for the Mobile Disk Jockey

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Working as a mobile disk jockey (DJ) presents a number of challenges that the resident club DJ doesn't have.  Not least is the need to carry all of that essential DJ equipment wherever we go.

I've worked as a residential club DJ, radio DJ and these days I make my living as a mobile DJ and I love it. Each week I meet new people with diverse musical tastes in some fantastic locations. I've played in some fantastic locations including castles, stately homes, tents, gardens, onboard ships and yachts and even one night in a well known London museum. It's this variety that I most enjoy about my work, but back to the challenges.

Epiphone left hand guitars have been for many years a way musicians start their music career. These LH guitars are a great value for many reasons. The workmanship is great and the quality rivals that of the original Gibson models. The price is attainable for just about any music lover.

Gibson was able to simply acquire the fledgling company and to this day, Gibson still manufactures instruments under the brand name Epiphone.

Guitar Making Across The Ages

Monday, November 30th, 2009

How is a guitar made and what is it made from? How has the march of time affected the guitar?.  Guitar making is an art and a science. The march of time has not altered the basic construction of the guitar. The entire world contributes to the guitars we have today in the woods that come from these countries.

What to Expect from Classical Singing Lessons

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

Music is never boring. This is due mainly to the fact that music has evolved into various types like rock, pop, country and others.
